Paul is taking over from Philip Scofield for Saturday's and some Friday's at various venues across the country in Dr Dolittle. These include Wolverhampton (late June), Liverpool, and Manchester Opera House.

James writes "I have recently contacted uk gold as to why the special episode never gets shown and i was told that due to certain right issues within that episode the bbc will not allow it to be shown. I can't ever see us being able to watch that episode as I don't think the repeats will ever be on bbc again."

Someone has reported remembering Mr Nicholas in an episode of CHiPs. After much searching it turns out the star's name was spelt Nichols.

It is episode 22 from the 3rd Season originally aired on 23-Feb-1980 where Mr Nicholas plays Malcolm.

Paul Surfaces

Mr Nicholas is back on the TV again this time as a 'celebrity villain' (thats what it says here) on 'Burnside' the series. It starts on Thu 6th July and with Ellison will be essential viewing.

Jan turned up in a 'Tales Of The Unexpected' on Granada Plus on 18 Jun 2000. This was not previously in her filmography.

Mr Nicholas featured in the 'News Of The World' 14th May 2000 - in an article on the www.varietyclub.org.uk. "Paul became in the Right To RIde campaign after being touched by the plight of children at a speical needs school where his daughter Natasha works." "Paul got on his bike to launch the appeal with kids in Tottenham - north London."

Jan Resurfaces

The classic series 'Secret Army' starts repeats in earnest from Saturday 29th April with a young Ms Francis. Unfortunately the sitcom 'Allo Allo' has parodied it so much the impact is slightly less chilling. Pictures at [Jan Francis].

Jan Surfaces

Ms Francis makes a long awaited welcomed return to our screens in the latest series of those holiday reps in 'Sunburn'. As you can guess from the repeating of a previous news item Mr Nicholas is already a regular on the series - so what hijinks ensue. Unfortunately I saw this at about 3:00am after driving 240 miles over Easter so I was dozing whilst it was on. I gather she played a man eater ! I spotted it was her from the way she walked (without my glasses). He is detained out of the main action on a different plot thread but there was a beautiful near meeting at an airport where she takes her shades off and he afar does a double take.
